My goal is to help you re-imagine your life. With extensive experience in hypnotherapy, ketamine therapy, and counseling, and a vast history of client success, my individualized, positive approach will help you attain your goals.
As a Doctor of Behavioral Health, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist, I specialize in helping people achieve balance in mind, body, and spirit.
I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (where I was awarded the title of "Top Graduate Student"), and a Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University.
I truly enjoy helping people. Whether it is a weight loss journey, help with chronic pain or stress management, learning new behaviors to improve overall outcomes, or learning how to manage other mental health issues like depression and anxiety, I collaborate with my clients and other professionals to maximize effectiveness.
I truly listen to what my clients want and need, and I help them find solutions by incorporating Solutions Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Hypnosis/Mindfulness exercises into my practice. I offer a very eclectic, unique, and tailored approach to wellness that my clients appreciate.
I have worked in private practice, a psychiatric hospital, and community healthcare for the past ten years. I have experience working with children and adolescents as young as four with severe mental health issues and adults of all ages. I have worked with Veterans, prisoners, homeless populations, people with eating disorders, addicts, emergency service personnel, athletes, divorced parents, people experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation, and more.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, extended family, and friends. My favorite places include the mountains of Breckenridge and its rivers and streams. I love my dogs, reading great books, cooking, learning new things like how to play guitar, and sitting on my back porch looking out over the lake. You might even find me on the weekends on the back of my husband's motorcycle! I am an active member of the Junior League of The Woodlands and love volunteering my time to help others.
I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, the American Mental Health Counselor's Association, the Texas Counseling Association, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners.
Committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. My commitment is to provide you with accountability, understanding and support. I am very dedicated to my clients and ask that they be as dedicated to improving their lives, as well.
The first step is to fill out the paperwork I must have in order to see you. I need to know your medical history, background, and what brings you to therapy. I need to know if you are suicidal, homicidal, or have any form of hallucinations. I also need to know if you have ever been diagnosed with a mental health issue and what steps you have taken since that time to improve. Finally, it will help me to know what medications and supplements you take and if you have any chronic health problems.
I also need you to understand informed consent and the limits of confidentiality. When we meet, I will explain how we formulate a treatment plan and go about terminating our sessions. In our first session, besides asking about your history, I will want to know what you want to accomplish during our time together and how you will know that we have been successful.
So be patient with the initial process. It is important that we do everything the right way!
So please reach out, see about my availability, and then I will help direct you through the paperwork process, steps for insurance, medication if you are going to be using ketamine, etc.
I look forward to meeting with you! If you are a cash playing client and ready to fill out paperwork, you will find the link below. If you are using insurance, the paperwork will be emailed to you. Thank you!
